Our Story

Pastor Antonio was reading his Bible one day, over 12 years ago, and he heard the words "True Worship". He wrote the words down and put it in his drawer. At the time, he didn't know what it meant. After a couple of years had passed, he felt a strong call from the Lord to pastor. He was receiving confirmation every where he went. After some time had passed, Pastor Sims heard the voice of the Lord again say, "Now. Now is the time." He spoke to his wife, Nina,  and she knew in her spirit that it was the Lord because God had given her the same word.

The Lord has been with Pastors Antonio & Nina. They started out renting a church in Royal Oak, Michigan until they were blessed with own building in Ferndale, MI. They outgrew their property in Ferndale and found a beautiful property on the east side of Detroit. They continue to make disciples, preaching and teaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God and reaching their neighbors in city of Detroit for Jesus.

We have been blessed to be able to reach thousands of people in our community with the love of God. Our members use our God given gifts to teach, support, and encourage. God has poured into our hearts a commitment to be the difference and we are seeing the fruit of our labor. Transformation is happening in men, women and children because of their encounter with God. God has sent us to our city to be HIS HANDS AND FEET. Come and be a part of reaching our community for Jesus.

True Worship Church is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome.
